The Turkish Studies Association welcomes all members to the Annual TSA Reception and Business Meeting held in conjunction with the annual Middle East Studies Association meeting in Denver, CO from November 17-20, 2012. The meeting will take place at the Sheraton Denver Downtown Hotel. The TSA Reception is Saturday, 11/17, 7-8pm, in the Grand Ballroom Foyer (Tower). The TSA Business Meeting is Saturday, 11/17, 8-10 pm, Tower Court C (Tower). Please see the MESA meeting website for more information.

With sadness, the TSA community says goodbye to one its distinguished members, and gives thanks for his lifetime of contributions. Please take a moment to read the obituary prepared by his home institution of Binghamton University, and remembrances of colleagues submitted to H-Turk.

The Turkish Studies Association, founded and incorporated in 1971, is a private, non-profit, non-political organization of persons interested in Turkish and Ottoman studies. The objectives of the Association are to promote high standards of scholarship and instruction; to facilitate communication among its members through meetings and written exchanges of information; and to promote international, scholarly cooperation among persons and organizations concerned with Turkish and Ottoman studies.
The Association's activities include publication of the Journal with short research articles, reports of meetings and conferences, book reviews and communications from members. The annual meeting of the Association is held each November in conjunction with the Middle East Studies Association convention. Persons interested in Turkish or Ottoman studies are invited to membership.
We need your help. The need for content for our Teaching and Research Resource pages is ongoing. If you have bibliographies, syllabi, images, maps, or other resources that would be helpful to colleagues, teachers, researchers, students and others, please send them to TSA
